Youth work can be carried out by many different types of people, from different backgrounds. Youth workers can be from any age ranging from 18, and have any type of working background.
The main criteria is that youth workers can respond to the needs and interests of the young people that they work with, and that they can work in a way which provides recreational activities and even provide advice and guidance.
